Medeze Stem Cell was established in 2010 from the collaboration of a team of doctors and academic experts in stem cell medicine. Dr. Veerapol Khemarangsun heads the group as the CEO and Co-Founder of Medeze Stem Cell Company Limited.

Since 2010, Medeze Stem Cell has stored umbilical cord blood for more than 500 clients as well as over 1500 cases of therapy with Mesenchymal Stem Cell (MSC) banking.

For our premium client services, Medeze Stem Cell laboratory office is open 24 hrs and 7 days a week. Our scientists will perform stem cell isolation right away when all samples are delivered to our laboratory.

Collection Kit

For umbilical cord blood banking, Medeze Stem Cell uses JMS Cord Blood Collection Bag.
* The blood bag is designed to collect the maximum amount of umbilical cord blood stem cells during and after the birth of the baby, within the shortest time and minimal risk of contamination.
* The bag contains 20 ml of CPD anticoagulant.
* The bag is equipped with tubing compatible with sterile device connection to maintain sterility and a closed system. This is suitable for inside operative theatre use.
* The maximum volume of bag is 157 ml, while the average amount of cord blood collection is 110ml.
* The bag has built-in DMSO extension for micro-infusion and air-assisted extraction for clean extraction of precious stem cells.
* There is integrated blood sampling bag (BSB) for convenient and contamination free sampling.
* Attached needle protector to ensure safe blood collection.
* Medeze Stem Cell's blood bag comes with individual Retort and Aluminium Laminated Packing to minimize contamination and improve usage convenience.

For umbilical cord tissue and placenta or adipose tissue, Medeze Stem Cell uses the Thermoscientific Tissue Collection Container.
* The container is designed to collect the maximum amount of tissue, within the shortest time and minimal risk of contamination.
* The container is ultraclear polypropylene with polyethylene leak proof cap.
* The container has clear easy to read graduations and a frosted portion for easy labeling.
* These sterile containers are individually packaged.
* Medeze Stem Cell's tissue container can be used inside the operative table during cesarean section or abdominoplasty procedure.

Transportation Container

Medeze Stem Cell uses a medically proven, precise temperature-controlled transportation container that can maintain specific temperature for achieving highest cells’ viability. For cord blood transportation process, 25 degrees Celsius is maintained throughout the process, while 4 degrees Celsius is maintained for cord tissue and adipose tissue throughout the transportation process.

Shipping Info

Medeze Stem Cell contract price includes the shipping fee for all collection services.

Medeze Stem Cell provides courier collection service to all clients in Thailand. Our collection team consists of nurses who will prepare all collection equipment for normal delivery or cesarean section. Our team will assist your obstetrician and ensure that all standard collection procedures have been performed. Within Thailand, all samples will be shipped by our collection team to Medeze Stem Cell’s laboratory within 3 hours.

For collections from outside Thailand, shipping is provided by DHL on weekdays and hand-carried by bank personnel on the weekends. The whole shipping process will be controlled within 12 hours.

Processing Method

Upon arrival at Medeze Stem Cell, cord blood is immediately checked and inspected by our quality control inspector. Cord blood sample will be tested for volume, sterility, viability and cell count. Medeze Stem Cell processes cord blood using automated AXP cell separation processing machine. AutoXpress® Platform (AXP®) is a closed system, human-error free, fully automated and FDA approved to provide the highest stem cell yield up to 98% from the collection bag. The viability recovery of cord blood stem cell collection is average more than 95%.

Components Stored

Medeze Stem Cell processes cord blood without any unnecessary additives. Automated AXP processing machine helps to reduce red blood cells, which decrease the likelihood of certain complications in future use. Each sample is stored in a cryobag that consists of two compartments (one major and one minor) and two integrally attached testing portions. After storage, Medeze Stem Cell will provide certificate which indicates the types of stem cell, total number of nucleated cells, total number of stem cell, number of cryobags, volume in each cryobag, stem cell viability, viability recovery and cord blood sterility test.

Storage Method

Medeze Stem Cell uses a seamless cryobag for storage to protect all cord blood collections safety. All blood bags are permanently labeled and placing in stainless steel cassettes. The cord blood units are suspended above a pool of liquid nitrogen that creates a vapor-phase environment kept at minus 196 degrees Celsius. In this condition, cord blood bag will stay as cold as liquid nitrogen without immersing them in liquid, which can enable cross-contamination. Cord blood will be infused with our special cryopreservative agent which research has proven yields viable stem cells after more than 20 years of storage
