Established in Indonesia since 2003, PT. Cordlife is the first company in Indonesia to offer a cord blood and cord lining processing and cryopreservation facility in Indonesia. The Company is also a subsidiary of Cordlife Group Limited and its ISO-certified facility located in Jakarta was accredited by global gold standards: the Association for the Advancement of Blood & Biotherapies (AABB) in 2019.

Cordlife Indonesia is the only stem cell bank in Indonesia that offers CellOptima™, a patented technology from Singapore. CellOptima™ enables the isolation of two types of stem cells from umbilical cord lining, namely Cord Lining Epithelial stem cells (CL-EpSCs) and Mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs).

Collection Kit

The kit contains a closed system blood bag (brand JMS) that is pre-loaded with the anti-coagulant CPDA-1. The kit also provides the disinfectant Povidone-iodine.

Transportation container

The collection kit is constructed with thermal insulation and validated to maintain room temperature for up to 48 hours during transportation back to the laboratory.

Shipping Info

Once we are informed of cord blood collection, our courier service team will pick up the kit for shipping at room temperature to the laboratory for processing and storage.

Processing Method

The cord blood will be processed with latest automated processing technology - Sepax 2 - that recovers more stem cells from cord blood.

Components Stored

Parents are provided with a report describing test results for buffy coat holding white cells and stem cells including total nucleated cells (TNC), post processing sterility, as well as maternal blood infectious disease results.

Storage Method

Final cord blood storage is in 25 ml blood (cryo) bag encased in an overwrap. Blood samples are kept in a quarantine freezer, then moved to long term freezer after they pass testing. Stem cells are stored in the vapour phase of cryogenic nitrogen.

• Quality and customer focus are amongst some of the cornerstones of Cordlife. In the area of clinical diagnostics, Cordlife India and HealthBaby are accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP). 

Clinical Experience

The Group has made 85 cord blood releases to 25 healthcare institutions in ten different countries, allowing its clients to use their cord blood for transplantation or cellular therapy. Cordlife has also assisted its clients in the release of 37 cord lining, cord tissue, and cord tissue mesenchymal stromal cell (MSC) releases for medical use. All of the samples processed and stored by Cordlife were used successfully in cellular therapy, which is the ultimate validation of the Group’s processing and storage capabilities.

Insurance

Cordlife clients will be covered by a protection program– a holistic program aimed to safeguard our client and their family.

1) Cordlife Pledge - In the event that the cord blood unit loses its viability at the time it will be used for transplantation due to negligence and failure of Cordlife, Cordlife will try its best to obtain a replacement cord blood unit with an appropriate HLA type, or if not possible, will pay compensation in the amount of SGD 50,000, or according to the current fees for one cord blood unit with the appropriate HLA type.

2) Cordlife Shield - Financial protection up to a maximum of SGD 5,000 for expectant mothers agaisnt 7 possible complications in pregnancy, or against 16 birth defects for your newborn baby up to 6 months of age.

3) Cordlife Transplant Care - Provides protection up to SGD 50,000 against hospital care costs associated with cord blood transplants.

4) Cordlife Assure - Cordlife will take the full cost of examining the Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) and Colony Forming Unit (CFU) which must be compiled when cord blood transplantation is required.

5) Cordlife Cord Blood Network - Cordlife will assist clients in finding cord blood units that are suitable for three generations in the family, when needed.

6) Cordlife Guard - An additional protection against financial losses caused by negligence or mistakes or omissions committed by Cordlife during processing and cryogenic storage of your baby's cord blood units.

7) Cordlife Secure - Cordlife will cover all costs incurred in the event that access to the Cordlife facility is limited, by making appropriate efforts to ship your baby's cord blood to Singapore or any other place that is appropriate for permanent cryogenic processing and storage.
