Biophylaxis Hellas A.E. operates in collaboration with the Hellenic Public Cord Blood Bank and is located within the Laboratory of Cell and Matrix Pathobiology of the Institute of Biology at the N.C.S.R. Demokritos, in Athens. Biophylaxis  is the only cord blood bank in Greece which was started by the Ministry of Development as a "spin-off company".

Biophylaxis is a founding member of the Association of Hellenic Cord Blood Banks, EETOA.
