Beike Biotechnology is a Chinese biotechnology company that started in Shenzhen and now has multiple branches. They specialize in the research, clinical translation and technology support services of adult stem cells.

Processing Method

To meet AABB standards, Beike adopted the AXP® AutoXpress automated tecnology for stem cell processing from Thermogenesis. Testing is performed with the Beckman hematology analyzer LH750 and Tecan Freedom EVOlyzer. Final storage is in the BioArchive® automated freezer from GE/Thermogenesis. Additionally, the company optimized its information technology platform and software systems, adding an advanced bar code management system, real-time monitoring capabilities, and an advanced enterprise resource planning (ERP) system to its call center.

Licensing & Accreditation

As of May 2012, Beike Biotechnology became the first cord blood bank in China accredited by AABB.

Clinical Experience

Since 2005, Beike has provided partner hospitals in China with stem cells for the treatment of over 20,500 patients. Beike currently provides more than 30 hospitals with umbilical cord, cord blood, and bone marrow-derived stem cells for the treatment of a variety of neurological and vascular conditions.
