Sanquin Navelstrengbloedbank (Sanquin Cord Blood Bank) is a non-profit public bank. Sanquin is responsible for safe and efficient blood supply in the Netherlands on a not-for-profit basis. Sanquin also develops and produces pharmaceutical products, conducts high-quality scientific research, and develops and performs a multitude of diagnostic services.

It is currently only possible to donate in a hospital or birth center that works with Sanquin. The bank works together with some midwifery practices, birth centers and departments Obstetrics / Gynecology of hospitals in the regions of Leiden, The Hague, Amsterdam and Rotterdam.
