Crioestaminal, Ciências Para a Vida, SA, was founded in 2003 as a public limited company and became the first cord blood bank to operate in Iberia: Portugal & Spain. In 2010, Crioestaminal was awarded with the AABB accreditation, the only laboratory located in Iberia with this distinction. Since 2015 Crioestaminal is part of Stemlab SA.
