Liat Ben-Senior holds an MBA and MSc in Human Genetics from the Sackler School of Medicine of Tel-Aviv University, Israel. Ben-Senior has over 15 years experience in Marketing and Digital Marketing in the field of Biotech and Life Sciences. Her scientific background includes immunology and molecular biology research, both in academia as well as industry. Her management background includes business development and commercialization of early stage medical devices, cellular, and small molecule therapies. For the last ten years, Liat has worked with CReATe Cord Blood Bank as Business Manager. At CReATe, Liat focuses on educating expectant parents and health care professionals about the cord blood banking options available in the Canadian market. As part of Liat's role with CReATe, she is responsible for creating all the educational and promotional materials, information sessions and webinars. She strongly believes in empowering expectant parents by offering them accurate information so they can make an informed decision. Liat is excited to take part in the Board of Directors of Parent's Guide to Cord Blood Foundation.
Auxocell Laboratories Inc., Chief Executive Officer and co-Founder
Kyle Cetrulo has extensive experience in the stem cell industry. For fifteen years, he worked for cord blood banks that were both domestic and international, operating as both public and private banks. Cetrulo has worked in many international markets, including Brazil, Venezuela, Greece, Peru, Mexico, Russia, Spain, Portugal, Australia and Turkey. In 1998, Cetrulo became Director of the International Cord Blood Society (ICBS). During his tenure, he organized the 5th International Congress in 2002 and the 6th International Congress in 2004. These two congresses featured representatives from 23 countries. In 2006, Cetrulo served as the guest editor of an issue of the journal Stem Cell Reviews that focused on stem cells from the placenta and other pregnancy-related sources. In 2008, Cetrulo edited the book Perinatal Stem Cells, published by Wiley Press. A Second Edition of Perinatal Stem Cells came out in 2013. In 2008, Cetrulo founded the company Auxocell Laboratories Inc. (Auxocell), a leading stem cell therapeutic and regenerative medicine company located in Massachusetts. AuxoCell's primary research focus is to develop the enormous therapeutic potential of the primitive stem cells found in the Wharton's Jelly of the human umbilical cord. Cetrulo also co-founded the Perinatal Stem Cell Society in 2013, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to advancing perinatal stem cell research on the path toward treatment. Cetrulo graduated from the University of San Francisco in 1998, where he majored in Communications.
Gayl Chrysler, MBA
Consultant, Biomedical Business Development
Gayl Rogers Chrysler has over 30 years of leadership experience in strategic development and operational management of FDA regulatory-compliant businesses. She started her medical career as a registered nurse working in blood apheresis. Between 1982 and 2003 she worked for the North Central Blood Services of the American Red Cross. During her time at the Red Cross, she completed an MBA degree. She increased the production capacity of the American Red Cross Apheresis Unit by 400% over a 3 year period, becoming one of the largest Apheresis Units in the U.S. She also has worked in organ and tissue donation and has been an associate editor of the Journal of Transplant Coordination since 1991. She created and implemented innovations to increase consented cadaver tissue donors by 300% over a one year period. Chrysler helped create the Unrelated Bone Marrow Donor Program for the American Red Cross, a prototype for the National Marrow Donor Program. Gayl Chrysler is best known in cord blood circles for her work as the National Director of Operations of the Cord Blood Program at the American Red Cross. She transformed the American Red Cross Cord Blood Bank into a profitable financial operation and the fourth largest Cord Blood Bank in the U.S. after only 5 years of operations. Chrysler joined BioE in 2006 as vice president of cellular technologies and clinical affairs. There she was responsible for commercialization and global marketing of BioE's PrepaCyte cell separation technology. In 2012 Chrysler became the first Director of Biobanking Sales Strategy and Alliances for STEMCELL Technologies in Vancouver. Since July 2015 Chrysler heads up biomedical business development for Innovative Blood Resources.
Cherie Daly, M.D.

Dr. Cherie Daly is a qualified medical practitioner from South Africa who has clinical experience in numerous fields, with a special interest in Psychiatry. She has over a decade of experience in the stem cell industry and has worked in Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Europe. In the Middle East, Dr. Daly served as Executive Manager for Cryo-Save Arabia, where she was responsible for establishing and managing their cord blood laboratory in Dubai. During her time in the Gulf Region, Dr. Daly lobbied at the governmental level and with key regional institutes to educate and introduce cord blood banking to expectant parents in a region where there was no such service. In Singapore (2009 - 2010), Dr. Daly served as the Group Medical Affairs Manager for Cordlife, a company that is a leader in private cord blood banking in multiple Asian countries. She focused on establishing cord blood clinical trials for non-hematological indications in Asia. In Europe (2011 - 2013), Dr. Daly worked for Cryo-Save, Europe's largest family cord blood bank, as Group Medical Affairs Consultant. Dr. Daly then moved to Denmark and became an independent consultant in the stem cell industry. Among others, she has consulted to the Danish stem cell bank StemCare, and the Asian cord blood bank, Cordlife, in the role of Medical Affairs. She moved again to the United States in 2015, where she works as a clinical consultant for LifebankUSA. Dr. Daly has spoken at numerous regional and international medical conferences, appeared on radio and television, and speaks to prospective parents on the benefits of cord blood banking. Her passion is to provide accurate education for both healthcare professionals and parents, and to ensure that all expectant parents have the necessary tools to enable an educated choice when it comes to their options regarding their child’s cord blood.
Aby J. Mathew, PhD
BioLife Solutions Inc., Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Mathew was part of the founding team of BioLife Solutions, Inc., and is a co-developer of BioLife’s biopreservation media solutions. He is a co-inventor on multiple issued and pending patents related to methods, devices, and formulations for the preservation of cells, tissues, and organs. He holds a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences within the Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology Program from Binghamton University and a B.S. in Microbiology from Cornell University. Dr. Mathew has been researching low temperature biopreservation since 1994, and his studies contributed to the development of BioLife’s current commercial HypoThermosol® and CryoStor® product platforms and intellectual property foundation. Dr. Mathew has been BioLife’s Senior Vice President & Chief Technology Officer since February 2011. Dr. Mathew is currently active in, or previously a member of, AABB (formerly the American Association of Blood Banks), BEST (the Biomedical Excellence for Safer Transfusion collaborative), the International Society for Cell Therapy (ISCT), the Alliance for Regenerative Medicine (ARM), Tissue Engineering & Regenerative Medicine International Society (TERMIS), Society for Cryobiology, International Society for Biological and Environmental Repositories (ISBER), American Society for Cell Biology, and the Society for In Vitro Biology. Dr. Mathew is a member of, the Board of Directors, and Advisory Panel, of the Parent’s Guide to Cord Blood Foundation, the Scientific Advisory Board of HemaCare Corporation, the founding Board of Directors of the Cord Blood Association, the NIST-AMTech National Cell Manufacturing Consortium, the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM) Clinical Advisory Panel, and the Scientific Advisory Board of SAVSU Technologies. Dr. Mathew has obtained UCLA Corporate Governance Program Certification.
Gail Moskowitz, M.D.
Consultant, Specializing in medical direction of blood and tissue banks
Dr. Moskowitz specializes in pathology and the medical leadership of blood banks. She holds academic appointments as Lecturer in Pathology at Harvard Medical School and as Assistant Clinical Professor of Pathology at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Dr. Moskowitz has held several posts directing blood banks throughout the New York area, including at the Bronx Veterans Affairs Medical Center, the New York Blood Center, and the Blood Bank and Hematology Laboratories at the Albany Medical Center. She also served as Chairman of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at St. Vincent's Midtown Hospital in New York. More recently, she has served as the medical director of cord blood banks, both private and public. Dr. Moskowitz has provided healthcare consultant services in the fields of blood banking, cellular therapeutics, laboratory medicine, pharmaceutical, medical-legal and regulatory affairs, and medical informatics. Dr. Moskowitz has served on the AABB Cellular Therapies - Accreditation Program Unit. She currently works for Merck.
Gilead Sciences, Senior Manager, Public Affairs
Brian Plummer joined Gilead Sciences in 2018, overseeing HIV treatment and prevention initiatives. Previously, Brian was with AMAG Pharmaceuticals, working on corporate, policy and disease-awareness initiatives targeting key stakeholder audiences including media, lawmakers and patient advocacy organizations. Prior to AMAG, Brian held positions at Cord Blood Registry (CBR), the Cord Blood Forum 501(c)(3) organization, the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists (ACOG), and the Congressional Budget Office (CBO). Brian graduated from The George Washington University with a degree in political science.
