The novel coronavirus COVID-19 is genetically over 90% identical to the SARS coronavirus. COVID-19 is believed to have originated in bats, and crossed into humans some time in late 2019, somewhere near Wuhan China. Many cell therapy companies are launching trials for COVID-19.
