Banque de sang de cordon umbilical Liège (Liège Cord Blood Bank) is located in the Laboratory of Cell and Gene Therapy in the "Centre Hospitalier Universitaire" (CHU) of Liège. The laboratory was built to GMP conditions in 2002. The cord blood bank was the 6th in the world to obtain the quality label provided by the international FACT accreditation. The bank distributes 20-25 CB units/year. It also serves as the hub for the collaborative effort of Belgian Cord Blood Banks.
