Saneron accepts cord blood donations to be used in animals for disease research. This mail-in donation program does require advance registration, but mothers can register almost up to the time of birth, so long as the application is processed in time. Parents can earmark their cord blood to be used towards a particular Saneron CCEL research program that they wish to support.
Saneron CCEL Therapeutics Inc. is a biotechnology R&D company that conducts research in partnership with the University of South Florida (USF). We profiled their program in our August 2013 newsletter. Their research programs are testing cord blood stem cells in animals for application to neurological and cardiac therapy. Their research does not require extensive advance screening of donors, because cells from the cord blood will not be infused into humans.
Mail-in DonationsSaneron is the only cord blood bank in the USA that offers a MAIL-IN DONATION option that does not require registration weeks in advance.
