Today the Elie Katz Umbilical Cord Blood Program at Community Blood Services
in Paramus, NJ, became a "participating" member of the NMDP.
However, Community Blood Services has retained the ability to conduct
independent searches for matching bone marrow donors or cord blood
units on Bone Marrow Donors Worldwide.
In addition to their public banking program, Community Blood Services is currently the processing laboratory for 7 different companies providing private cord blood banking in the United States.
