NJ spends $10.5 million on stem cells

Acting New Jersey Governor Richard J. Codey today announced $10.5 million in this year's budgt for stem cell research. The first $5.5 million will go toward funding the Stem Cell Institute of New Jersey. The remaining $5 million will go toward competitive research grants.
New Jersey also has pending legislation, Bill A1338, to establish a state-wide public cord blood bank.
