California Voters Approve Proposition 71

California voters approve Proposition 71, "California Stem Cell Research and Cures Initiative", a $3 billion bond issue to fund stem cell research. The measure is primarily intended to support embryonic stem cell research. Unfortunately, a survey sponsored by NeoStem found that, while 40% of Americans believe they are "knowledgeable" about stem cells, 65 to 68% of those individuals hold incorrect beliefs.
