PharmaStem Patents Re-Examined

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (U.S. PTO) has agreed to re-examine patents issued to PharmaStem (numbers 5,004,681 and 5,192,553). The re-examination will consider whether the patents' claims are distinct over "prior art": any medical publications describing similar techniques which predated the filing date of the original patents might constitute prior art.
