Patients Make Pilgrimages For Stem Cells
Summer 2004
Patients from the USA continue to make pilgrimages to foreign clinics to receive controversial stem cell treatments. One patient is a former Judge from Nevada who traveled to the Ukraine to receive injections of his own bone marrow as therapy for a stroke. A little girl with demyelinating disease traveled to the Bahamas to receive cord blood infusions.
