CIBMTR created

Effective July 2004, the Medical College of Wisconsin's International Bone Marrow Transplant Registry and Autologous Blood and Marrow Transplant Registry (IBMTR/ABMTR) have teamed with the National Marrow Donor Program® (NMDP) to create the "Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR)". The director of IBMTR/ABMTR, Dr. Mary Horowitz, will serve as the scientific director of the CIBMTR, and the CEO of NMDP, Dr. Jeffrey Chell, will serve as executive director. Dr. Horowitz also serves on the Institute of Medicine cord blood committee.
