Lists of Public and Private/Family Banks
- This website provides a list of ALL public cord blood banks which collect donations in the United States.
- This website provides a list of ALL private/family cord blood banks in the world.
- This is the first website to compile such lists and the only website which actively maintains them.
- There are no membershp fees to be listed on this website.
Private cord blood banks advertise aggressively on the internet.
Unfortunately, their web sites may contain more propaganda than
fact. By reading the Tables of Company Features & Pricing, you can compare at a glance the bank procedures, accreditations, and prices. This website provides a Suggested Questionnaire for Interviewing Private Banks.
Cord blood banking started in the United States, but is rapidly being
adopted all over the world. However, the legal status of cord
blood can vary enormously from one country to another. Hence, an
international list of cord blood banks would not be complete
without a web page which reviews Cord Bood Regulations by Nationality.
