Business ExperienceCryoviva (Thailand) Ltd. was launched with technology licensed from Lifeforce Cryobanks (previously known as Cryobanks Intnl.). The company has set up and marketed cord blood banking since 2007. The company has provided the service of cord blood collection and storage for clients since 2008. From 2010, we have expanded our services to collect cord tissue as well as cord blood. We have stored approximately 5,000 cord blood stem cell units and almost 1,000 cord tissue units in our facility. We have our own cell culture lab within our group of companies and have coordinated and transported stem cell units for transplant successfully.
Collection KitWe have prepared separate cord blood and cord tissue collection kits. The materials required for collection are contained within a disposable strong cardboard box with printed name-logo of the company as well as important information such as "Do Not Pass Through X-Ray Device", "Keep at Room Temperature", "To Avoid Cord Blood Unit Rejection, Volume is Important in Each Collection".
The cord blood collection bag is specifically manufactured for cord blood collection. Each bag has two needles with different lengths of tubing lines, each customized for use for normal vaginal delivery or C-section. Both lines consist of needle guard to cover the sharp end of each needle. The bag is packed in a sterile plastic bag which is then placed in aluminum foil, which, with proper handling, will ensure the bag remains sterile both inside and outside.
The collection kit also contains a 95 kPa biohazard bag to ensure safe transportation and a gel pack to help maintain proper temperature conditions. Other items included are blood sample tubes, labels, alcohol and povidone-iodine pads as well as "cord blood delivery information form" and instruction for cord blood collection.
Transportation ContainerA gel pack has been provided in the collection kit which will be help to maintain the temperature of the the cord blood unit at a temperature between 15-25 degrees C for about 4 hrs. If the travel time will take more than 4 hrs, the collection box will be packed in a standard blood bank transportation box with appropriate amount of ice-packs. The temperature during transportation will be recorded by temperature data logger.

Transportation of the cord blood unit from the hospital to our facility is free of cost for within Thailand and at actual cost from overseas.
